This could be a beautiful hotel and great stay in Kauai but the hotel really needs to take a good look at itself. The floors and carpets were dirty and stained. The couch, couch pull out bed and regular bed were extremely old and loud. Every time you move it would creak. The bathroom was very poorly lit and had ants in the bathtub. All the windows were extremely dusty and had dead bugs. The lamp shade in the bedroom was old stained and slightly mangled. There was a resort fee upon check in that was not advertised! Lastly, most of metal surfaces were rusted(door handle, shower head, metal portions of the lamp and other surfaces). All they would really need to do is update the furniture and clean the rooms better and this would have been a much better stay. I felt gross sleeping on the bed and considering what I paid this is unacceptable.

We booked 1 night here last minute when traveling from north shore to south shore. The interior was renovated and clean, although the exterior was pretty outdated. Pretty descent stay overall. The host was very communicative and responsive when addressing payment issues.

Beautiful ocean views. Close to the airport and easy parking. Great stay for the price
