Beautifully featured in the March 2024 edition of Period Living Magazine, this picturesque, Grade II listed Cotswolds stone house occupies a prime position within the pretty village of Honeybourne in Worcestershire, perfectly positioned betwixt Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon and the beautiful Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Bursting with character and period features, professionally designed interiors and furnishings blend seamlessly with original beams, mullion windows and exposed brickwork, transporting its guests back to a bygone era of elegance and class. Meanwhile careful consideration has been paid to ensure this handsome property is also fully equipped with every 21st century comfort. On entering The Gables, a spacious and well-equipped modern kitchen provides everything you need to make meal preparations a joy. The dining area is fully open to the kitchen and dominated by a stunning inglenook fireplace with a cosy wood burning stove and comfortable armchairs, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine whilst dinner is cooking. After a fireside dinner, wander through to the charming sitting room with a second wood burning stove and inviting soft furnishings including a pretty cushioned window seat to quietly watch the world go by. Or, escape to the stylish, tartan themed snug with its own window seat and more comfy sofas. A small utility room leads through to a ground floor family bathroom. Central to the house is a steep, wide staircase, with narrow tread, to the first floor and four tastefully furnished bedrooms and four shower rooms. Each bedroom has been individually decorated to complement the style of the house and offer a peaceful and calm space. Outside, a large driveway provides parking for up to three cars and the lawned garden at the rear includes a patio and garden furniture for enjoying the summer months. Honeybourne, a small and pretty village, is ideally situated just five miles from Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds, and only 12 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare and home to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The village has its own pub within walking distance and a railway station with a direct line to London and other Cotswolds destinations including Moreton-in-Marsh, Kingham and Oxford. With so much to see and do, you will be torn between exploring the area; or just putting your feet up enjoying the peace and warmth of The Gables. Additional Information: Sorry, no pets.
