We had an amazing stay at Alicia's place on Lake Erie. We were there with family and friends to see the solar eclipse and the setting couldn't have been more perfect. The house is funky (in a great way!), comfortable, and cozy. We felt right at home. The rocky beach filled with fossils was wonderful for kids and adults alike. The fire pits on the beach at on the patio were both utilized and made things extra special. Alicia was very responsive and accommodating. Overall a wonderful stay and we're already talking about when we can get back!

Our group had an amazing time at Alicia’s Airbnb! The hosts were extremely responsive and kind while answering any questions we had as well as very flexible in adapting checkin times. I would recommend this beautiful rental to everyone. It’s the perfect size for a large group while not feeling confined. All amenities listed were included and the home looks even bigger in person!
This is perfect for a large group. Truly something for everyone. We rented it for a family weekend with our adult children. The lot is large and private, right on the lake. The beach is a paleontologist paradise. Large rock slabs step down to the water, covered with fossils of corals and sea life. The cottage is unique and charming. A combination of fun retro (pristine shag carpet) and modern conveniences (newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms). Most of the rooms have spectacular views of the water. Lots of great spots for bird and boat watching. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. Two of the bedrooms have their own 2 piece baths. The largest bedroom (up the very cool spiral stairs) has a full bath. The 4th bedroom has a bathroom right beside it. The cottage is completely equipped with everything you could need for a perfect vacation. Alicia has thought of everything. The cell service was spotty, enough to occasionally check the weather. We unplugged and connecting as a family.

For those who love spending time on the water, the Port Maitland pier is just 6km away from our cottage. This pier is perfect for launching your boat or taking a leisurely walk along the pier. Be sure to stop by the ice cream shop and indulge in a sweet treat with your loved ones.
Also, if you prefer to swim on a sandy beach, there is a beach just down the road. It's a private beach for residents living/renting on Sandy Bay. Turn left out of the driveway and follow the road until the dead end.
