This private 1 BR/1BA apartment is the first floor of a 3-story house perched directly above the crashing Pacific Ocean waves. Only 200 feet away, there is private access to Lighthouse Beach, a ½ mile sandy beach between rocky headlands from the north or south, it is the closest thing to a private beach in Oregon. Enjoy amazing views of Gregory Point, the historic Cape Arago lighthouse on Chiefs' Island, and Lighthouse Beach from every room in this spectacularly located one bedroom apartment. This 1 BR/1 BA apartment is on the first floor of a 3-story vacation rental; the upper two floors are a separate 3 BR/3 BA unit. There is a private entrance to the apartment and a locked door between the first floor and upper floors. The only shared space is the parking area, yard and barbecue shed.

Mike was a friendly and responsive host. The property is beautiful, quiet and felt safe. The interior was inviting, up to date and Mike provides lots of helpful information. I would absolutely stay here again!

Michael’s place is beautiful! Beautiful decor, a million dollar view, great fireplace that warms up the space in minutes. All the amenities you need. The hiking near by is amazing. We enjoyed Millers Cove sports bar and SoCo wine bar in Charleston. Can’t wait to return for a visit.

We had an amazing time at Michael's place. It's so comfortable and peaceful. We walked along Lighthouse Beach and sat in the chairs on the lawn and watched the waves. Quiet and private. Definitely will book again!

The Coos Bay/North Bend area only has about 30 oceanfront homes on Lighthouse Beach. Sunset Bay State Park (shallow, flat beach with no stairs) is one minute away by car. Shore Acres State Park is 5 minutes away. Cape Arago State Park and the Simpson Reef overlook are 8 minutes away. Crabbing and clamming are only 5 minutes away. There are numerous museums nearby including natural sciences, art and history. There are numerous activities for the active guest including hiking, biking and kayaking.

There is plenty of free parking at the beach house. If a guest didn't have a car, there are local taxis and Uber and Lyft. There is no public transportation to the beach house or the nearby state parks.
