Huge fire pit with breathtaking views of the ridge of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Boasting a full kitchen with cooking utensils, a majestic wood-burning fireplace, large windows overlooking the mountains, and a quiet raised deck. Accessories for babies available (portable crib, booster seat, changing pad). The house has undergone a renovation with new furnishings and décor. Amazing views out the large living room windows reveal mountains all the way to Virginia! Longer-term rates furnished by contacting hosts. No animals due to owner family allergies. Family run business Vista Vacation Properties LLC. We use Hostfully as our property management platform. On the main level you have the king bedroom with an attached master bathroom. There are an additional 2 king bedrooms with a shared full bathroom in between them on the main level. Enjoy the mountain views from the master bedroom and one of the other king bedrooms on the main level. Main level living room closet has a pack'N play with sheets/blanket, high chair and a changing pad. Bright dining room with a large table and the kitchen is stocked for cooking large meals. Joel & Sally are extremely professional and are always willing to answer all your questions. Everything I needed for my big family was there for me. Even a bandaid. Beds were comfortable. Hot water runs out after a few showers but if you have wait look out the window to look at the view and you will be instantly relaxed. We had heavy rain one day and we used the fire pit outside the next day and it was so peaceful. Made lots of memories there with my family. The Gathering Church is only 15 minutes away and prayer mountain is only 15 minutes away, Moravian Falls camp ground is only 15 minutes away. The perfect location.

Joel and Sally were the best hosts we could have asked for. My group had multiple questions. Every time I messaged them, they never seemed irritated with me asking a bazillion questions. Instead, they were very helpful and responded back to me quickly. The cabin and property are gorgeous. The view is breathtaking. It was so quiet and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. The cabin felt like home. We would definitely stay her again.

This secluded vacation home is located at the end of a 1.4-mile-long old logging road. It’s gravel until you get to our property where it is paved up to the house. The paved section is steeper with one switch back but after a few trips, you’ll be a mountain pro! Hunting season is October thru November so please no hiking on the property during those months. There is plenty of great local hiking nearby!
The property was originally logged in the late 1800s/early 1900s and then turned into apple orchards. Few apple trees still remain, but if you look closely, you can still see the terraced mountain behind the house.
The closet grocery store is 12 minutes away so you may want to get your groceries on your way to this property. Wilkesboro, with restaurants, bars and shopping, is 16 minutes from the cabin. Stay here as a home base for skiing near Boone, Grandfather Mountain and Stone Mountain. Lots of local hiking and water sports at W Kerr Scott Reservoir. Only 30 miles to access the Blue Ridge Parkway at Deep Gap.
