Beautiful and cozy 3 room flat with a view at most central location. The apartment is right at the “Place de l’Indépendance” in Plateau. Plateau (downtown) is full of markets, shops and food. Beautiful Gorée Island is only a 20 min ferry drive away. At walking distance from harbor, Presidential Palace, Highway, Black Civillization Museum, 3 supermarkets and Dakar Railway Station. The flat covers a floor plan of approx. 80 sqm which includes 3 rooms that I personally use for living, sleeping and working. The living room has a big dining table, couch and balcony. The bedroom has a double bed, closet, bath room and also access to the balcony. The office can be transformed into a second bedroom with a single bed. The flat has 2 bath rooms with showers. Towels are available. The kitchen has a gas stove and oven, a fridge and all the necessary items to cook and eat. There’s a washing machine on the kitchen balcony.

Great place, short walking distance to restaurants in the neighborhood, easy to get transportation, hosts very friendly, not too far from the train station.
We stayed in the apartment for a week. Racine and Kadia were super responsive and accommodating. Binta who welcomed us when we came and came to clean the place was fantastic. The place is as described, no surprises. It is not a high end expensive accommodation but very cozy and livable. It is clean, nicely set up, and very functional. I could see myself living there and feel very comfortable. I work remotely login into computers in America and the internet connection was strong, no issues. A plus for Dakar is that the electricity is included. There is no TV or AC but that is a plus rather than a minus.
Racine and Kadia were wonderful hosts: attentive, proactive, informative and super super friendly…made me feel like I knew than from somewhere. The apartment was more than expected: neat, clean and styled in a retro African style that really appeals to me, and had very thing I needed (except a microwave, but I managed well without it). It is centrally located and I was able to do both city and seaside walks every day. I would definitely stay here again as I felt at home and very welcome. And from a customer experience, I would give Racine and Kadia a 5 out 5 rating. Thank you for everything!! I a had a marvellous time!

Most things are at a walking distance (shops, restaurants, groceries, landmarks, etc...) and can be found on popular map applications. The list below is not exhaustive. It's just places that I've been to.

Plenty of taxis in front of the building. Heetch and Yango ride sharing apps are also available in Dakar.
For long distances (out-of-town), I can recommend Dakar Dem Dikk (national bus company) or a cab driver that I frequently use.
