This place is great! I had to book at long-term stay and the host was always very welcoming, responsive and helpful. The apartment is very cozy and is conveniently located by the airport, stores and many places to eat. Loved it!

The place is in a great neighborhood (quiet and safe). The listing advertised a washer and dryer but omitted it’s a coin operated unit ($7 to wash and dry) and only one machine for 6 units. We rented for over a month and fortunately we had relatives near by where we could wash our clothes -I felt that listing a W/D in unit but omitting the fee for usage was a bit deceptive. We were locked out of the unit on several occasions with an error message of “operation failed”. The check out time is listed as 11am but our door code was deactivated promptly at 10am (twice). There is no sound proofing between the unit above us and we could literally hear everything going on between us and the upstairs unit. The shower had a hot water restrictor that prohibits proper water flow so be prepared to have a very low water pressure shower. The host was responsive but only reached out to check on our stay upon checkout mentioning her pay is dependent on a 5 star review I felt this was a bit manipulative

First time coming to Chicago area and was advised this area was safe. We were in town for an extended work function and this place is exactly what we needed. The area was a safe and quiet neighborhood. The host was very responsive and accommodated us since our stay was extended more than once. Place felt like our home away from home as soon as we walked in through the door. All the beds were awesome to have; AND the Street Fighter arcade style set up was nostalgic. Greatly appreciate Neal for accommodating us, thank you!

Top rated neighborhood in Chicago, extremely safe with many food and shopping options.
Within Elmwood park, there is bacci pizza, Russell’s Barbeque, New star for Chinese food, and Sub Ts for sub sandwiches.
Gene and jude’s is a famous hot dog and French fry stand, possibly the most famous Chicago dog place in the city. Very close by. There is a metra only a few blocks away that can also take you straight to downtown and downtown food and attraction includes giordanos for deep dish pizza, au chevel for the most incredible fancy hamburger, navy pier has beautiful view of Lake Michigan along with rides including Ferris wheel, virtual reality, a small roller coaster, etc.
Rosemont is also only a few miles away with vibrant nightlife, a fantastic outlet mall, great dine in food options.
If you’re looking for a quick bite, Culver’s is a few blocks away and is a fantastic fast food option for burgers fries and milkshakes. Portillos is a few miles away as well, known for the Italian beef and Chicago dogs.
