圣安东尼奥 · 整套民居 · 3室5床1.0卫 · 可住7人 · Historic Swigard House: San Antonio Skyline View!
Gorgeous, historic home lovingly restored by renowned Brazilian interior designer, Flávia Araújo, and me. The fenced in yard is perfect for pets and kids! Sip tea while enjoying the San Antonio skyline, cook for your family in the fully stocked kitchen, or just use the Swigard House—located in the heart of San Antonio—to hop to the Riverwalk (1.8 miles), the Pearl (0.8 miles), the Alamo (1.8 miles), Lackland, & more! This welcoming spot sleeps 7, has a secret game room, and is a perfect getaway! The Swigard House was built in 1905 and has been painstakingly restored and furnished over the last two years to balance historic charm with modern amenities. This AirBnb was originally the second story of the the Swigard House—the downstairs was converted into two separate homes several decades ago. But don’t worry, although you will be in the same house, your stay will be private. The entrance is up a private set of exterior stairs, and there is off-street fenced-in parking. The yard is shared with one other AirBnB, but is large enough that you will have far more than enough room for you and your guests. There is a firepit and a range of citrus trees. Help yourself to some fruit if it is ripe! If you find the entrance to the secret game room, help yourself to a bottle of wine. The secret game room has foosball, a Pac-Man arcade game, a TV—and it doubles as a wine cellar!
Nice spot for a home base to check out downtown San Antonio and surrounding Texas Hill Country in the up-and-coming Government Hill neighborhood with great restaurants and microbrews within walking distance.
Great location for our family gathering. Clean space, loved that it was pet friendly and we could bring our sweet pup along. I never did see the game area, not sure if it was in a different space or what.
casa antigua remodelada pero antigua, la ubicación bien aunque el rumbo no es el mejor en general cumplió el objetivo.
this is great for young crowd with kids. It is an old house that has some cool features. like the hidden game room. but wonkie floor and unsafe for elderly and people afraid of heights 20 stair up to entrance. no bottom entrance. shower is half glass and not attached to wall securely. kids enjoyed the house and the beds were comfortable. over would stay with kids but I hate the stairs!
Government Hill and The Pearl District are walkable neighborhoods in the hip part of San Antonio, but just a few blocks from the action, there is quite the neighborly feel. Only 4 minutes away are: The Alamo, the Riverwalk, the Pearl, the Alamo Dome, the Zoo and more. You can’t get more central—but still the street is quiet.
You are also a short 15 minute drive from Lackland Air Force Base.
You can walk 0.8 miles to the Pearl and take the Riverwalk south from there. Uber, Lyft, and busses are also easy to haul and board.
