My three travelling companions, our dog and I had a wonderful time at Georgina's Cottage. It's absolutely peaceful, like something out of a fairy tale. The surroundings are a dream, with breathtakingly beautiful, unspoilt nature. The garden is also indescribably beautiful and peaceful. You can hear the babbling of the river and the birds. Georgina was extremely friendly, provided us with valuable information by email, phone and post and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. There are beautiful walking trails, small villages, farms, pubs, rivers, fields and woodland within walking distance. It is only 10 to 15 minutes by car to Bridport where there are many good supermarkets and other shops. The sea is also not far away by car, 20 minutes at the most. The small village of Seatown is perfect for a short trip to the beach with your dog. We will never forget this week in the first week of May. And we will definitely be back one day. If you want to stay somewhere magical that disconnects you from modern life, and leaves you feeling rested, then I thoroughly recommend staying in this cottage. It sits in a peaceful valley with trees and a river surrounded by the curvaceous hills which are typical of the area. There is no path or road to it - it's short walk (approx 2 mins) to get there from the parking space - so you need wellies. It’s absolutely worth it, and its location is part of its old world magic. The house is old and beautiful. It’s warm, dry and cosy, and old-fashioned in a good, nostalgic, way. There is no TV, but the WiFi is excellent, should you need to stream a film via your laptop. There is a lovely fire in the Sitting Room. The beds are very comfortable, but if you prefer duvets to blankets you might want to consider taking your own duvets. The Visitor's Book shows that lots of people return to the cottage multiple times - I plan to myself. The owner couldn't be more charming and helpful.

Beautiful Cottage. A dream house for me. Exactly what i was looking for in a cottage in a very rural location. In my honest opinion the best cottage I've stayed at. No TV was perfect. If you want to watch film etc, bring a streaming device as the internet is top notch as well. Spent my time going out for walks during the day in the beautiful scenery, that is for me the best part of dorset! The evenings i sat outside with a local ale, a book and the dog! The garden is really well looked after. Lots of wildlife around. I've been thinking about making a move to dorset in the near future, this just strengthened my decision. A real gem of a property! Thank you for the stay! Will be booking again for sure!

Gore Cottage is geweldig! Compleet (met Wifi) en gezellig. De omgeving is prachtig! Onze kinderen (21, 20 en 16 jr) hebben zich ook prima vermaakt! Bedankt Georgina!
