Historic 233 year old former Grist mill, sitting on the Butternut Creek. 8 acres of creek front, brooks, bridges, forests, and fields. Great for groups, couples, and solo travelers. For rest and relaxation, outdoor indulgence, artist/work retreat. Also available for film productions, music productions, weddings/events. Please inquire for further info . IG : @gristmillny This is a former gristmill(built in 1790) that made Buckwheat for Pillsbury. Aside from the kitchen/ bathroom, the whole first floor is a spacious open concept that includes the 2 seating areas in the living room(coffee/ reading + tv/entertainment) , dining room, and old western bar . The second floor is also an open concept , with old fashioned sliding barn doors closing off the master bedroom .

This place is great for a relaxing trip. The house was advertised. All the modern amenities you could ask for, while still holding on to the rustic charm of the house. Robert was prompt in response and very accommodating. This is a great property no matter what season you stay. We will definitely try to reserve this spot again in the summer time to enjoy the stream.

Rob is an incredible host, extremely responsive and accommodating. He has really great recommendations and even if I asked a redundant question that was maybe already detailed in the listing he was kore than happy to reiterate or help with anything we needed! The house is incredibly cool and historic. Rob has exceptional taste with a mid century modern flair that set against the backdrop of the surrounding nature, just felt exquisite and unique. We will certainly be back!
This is our second stay here, and it was just as awesome as the first time! You feel right at home from the second you walk in the door! The area is beautiful, and there is so much to do if you love being outside. We can’t wait and are already figuring out dates for a third visit :)

The property itself sits on the creek with a brook running down the side of the house. Crossing the brook bridge leads to a spacious lawn beside the creek with patio furniture and a fire pit, and easy access to go in the water and cool off. There are 6 acres on the other side of the dirt road with woods and fields to explore as well.
