John's place was exactly what we needed. The layout is a bit weird (it took a beat to find the 5th bedroom), however it was great to have two sitting areas for our group of 8. Two of the bedrooms have adjoining bathrooms, including one on the first floor, which was great for our senior dad. Loved the location - not on a particular strip, so we went exploring a lot of places. There are a few nearby public fishing areas which were extremely cool and easy to find. One note: as of our stay, cell service in the house was spotty for AT&T and MetroPCS customers (Verizon was fine). Our GPS took us on some slippery dirt roads when driving around - would have been a pain in bad weather, so worth charting a county road route in advance, and probably trying to make the trip in daytime.

My family and I hit the jackpot by finding this property, as it was in close proximity (13 minutes) to Cooperstown Dreams Park! The house was clean and inviting and the bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen is fun to entertain and cook in, and the coffee bar was a wonderful addition to our mornings! There are plenty of bathrooms (4), so this house is ideal for a large family or for baseball families looking to share. It is conveniently close by to Cooperstown and a short drive if there are breaks between games. Younger siblings loved the rec room, while the adults enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch. Without any hesitation, I would highly recommend this "hidden gem" in Hartwick!
