Just a stone's throw away, you'll find Howelsen and Emerald recreational areas, where you can indulge in hiking, biking, skiing, cross-country skiing, hockey, or even rodeo events. The condo is on one of the most popular streets in Steamboat. You will be right in the middle of the vibrant mountain town scene. You can hear the live music and see people having fun in the streets from our condo. Indulge your taste buds at the numerous local restaurants, enjoy live music, or catch the free bus to the esteemed Steamboat ski area.

Bus
The condo is 1/2 block from Steamboat's free public bus that runs every 20 minutes day and night. The closest stop to the condo is 7th and Lincoln. The bus is the BEST option for getting to Steamboat Resort. It drops you off right at the base. Once you are at the condo, you will rarely use your car.
Parking
The condo comes with one parking spot-- Parking Spot #20. The parking spot is located in the alley behind the condo. Do not park in other spots, as you may be towed.
Parking for Additional Cars
Additional parking is available on the street or at Howelsen Hill, which is a short walk away. There are lots and street parking areas near the condo that allow overnight parking from May 2nd to October 31st. Check the signs.
*Overnight parking for additional cars is a challenge Nov 1st- May 1st since the city doesn't allow overnight parking in the street or lots due to snow removal. It is best to carpool and just bring one car to Steamboat in the winter.
If you need to bring more than one car, there are three overnight parking options from Nov 1st to May 1st.
1. Steamboat Square Garage (2307 Mount Werner Circle) Surprisingly, this is the only public paid parking garage in Steamboat that offers overnight parking. Old Town Steamboat doesn't have any paid parking garages. Steamboat Square Garage is near the resort, about 3.5 miles from the condo. Their rates are $40/night during the week and $50/night on weekends.
2. Colorado Mountain College (1275 Crawford Ave)- Our realtor told us that you can park at Colorado Mountain College overnight. The college is located about 1.2 miles west of town. We have yet to check this out personally, but I plan to visit this lot when we are in town in early December to confirm that overnight parking is available.
3. Howelsen Hill (the closest option) - Howelsen Hill used to allow overnight parking. The City made overnight parking illegal this summer due to the number of Sprinter vans camping in the parking lot. Locals leave their cars in the Howelsen lots when their kids travel for overnight hockey games or ski races, and we have successfully parked overnight there when we have more than one car. If you choose to park there, I recommend parking in the east lots, near the ice rink or ski training area to blend in with the local sports traffic (and move your car nightly), not on the lot's west end, which has fewer cars. Again, we have parked there 4 or 5 times and never had an issue, but this is a judgment call that everyone needs to make for themselves.
