Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. The space offers a homey experience with great views of the hills. It is very much a home and well-maintained. The dogs (one adult and one young German Shepherd) will keep you company in shared spaces. The house is small yet spacious. The backyard has an awesome view of the hillside and sunset. The room is tidy and had a desk, tv, and ample closet space (if you're traveling with luggage). I do keep the house at a good ambient temperature but can run the heat if it is too cold (during the cooler months). Unfortunately, the house does not have A/C but the room does have a great ceiling fan and I can also provide additional floor fans as well. Only one of the two bathrooms is a shared bathroom.

Very nice and welcoming host, and the dogs are adorable. The place looks just like in the pictures and is very clean and quiet.

The neighborhood is quaint with minimal street traffic. It is relatively peaceful. Occasionally, there may be a party in the evening somewhere in the neighborhood, but that's it. During the school year, there may be some slightly audible noises from the local high school.
If you're looking for a place to stay that's near the hub of a bustling city, this might be a bit of a letdown. However, the area is very quiet and great for getting in steps. There are a few hiking areas within a short driving distance (Sobrante Ridge Regional Preserve, Wildcat Canyon, Tilden Regional Park, Kennedy Grove Regional Recreational Park, and a few others).
As far as proximity goes, the house is about 25-35min from Oakland, 15-20min to Berkeley, 7min to Pinole proper, 45-60min to San Francisco, 15-20min to Vallejo, and about 25-30min to San Rafael.
There are local transit lines that run up and down the East Bay, but I am not too familiar with them. Both BART stations in Orinda and Richmond are about 15-20min away driving. SFO is about 45-60min away and Oakland Airport is about 30-40min away.

Given the relevance, I’ll start with the fact that I am fully vaccinated. I am a quiet, laid-back busybody who works full-time. I spend my off hours at home with my dogs. I’m either doing house stuff, playing PS5, or watching tv.
