This is where you come to relax. Enjoy a wonderful location surrounded by locals in Hoofdplaat. The beach is in front of the door. Within walking distance you will find a supermarket/bakery, restaurant etc. If you get tired of the quiet, you can cycle 8 km to Breskens. By car you are in no time in Antwerp and Bruges. Sustainability can go hand in hand with vacations, we think. We have an efficient house with a pellet stove and solar panels. We contribute to the environment! See also our reviews We like to bring back some old details of the characteristic house. Partly for this reason we have visited many thrift stores, so that this atmosphere can also be found in furniture. 90% of everything you see in our house is sustainable. We found a lot of beautiful things at 't Oude Wagenhuis, here in Hoofdplaat. (highly recommended to step inside) There was a lemonade manufacturer in Hoofdplaat from the year +/-1865 until the year +/-1935. At 't Oude wagenhuis we found an original crate from this manufacturer. This stands as a showpiece in the bathroom. The pulley, which you see hanging in the back of the living room, also comes from 't Oude Wagenhuis. It still served in the former port of Hoofdplaat. While removing old wallpaper and wooden panels, we came across many beautiful old wallpapers and newspapers. On the newspapers we came across dates from 1942. These we found too nice to throw away, so we framed them, and they are now to admire the conservatory

Es war alles wie beschrieben. Sauber und gepflegt. Unsere Gastgeberin Annemarie ist sehr freundlich und war jederzeit zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder ins Ferienhaus Mies.
Wir waren zu viert für ein Wochenende in Hoofdplaat und haben es sehr genossen. Annemarie ist eine sehr herzliche, freundliche und flexible Gastgeberin. Die ganze Kommunikation war vorbildlich, freundlich und schnell. Das Haus ist wunderschön aufbereitet und es hat einen unglaublichen Charm. Es wurde schön eingerichtet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail und der Palletofen macht es auch an kühlen Tagen gemütlich. Der Deich und der kleine Strand sind direkt vor dem Haus. Parken war kein Problem, es sind allerdings ein paar Schritte mit dem Gepäck zu laufen. Herzlichen Dank, liebe Annemarie! Wir werden wiederkommen.
Fijn verblijf, mooie wandelomgeving, leuk voor de kinderen. In de winter: gezellige warme kachel bij aankomst🤩
Annemarie is een geweldige host! Ik voelde me zeer welkom in vakantiehuisje “Mies”. Er stonden verse bloemen op tafel en de kachel was aan. Annemarie is aardig, attent, vriendelijk, warm, hartelijk en heeft een zeer positieve uitstraling. Het contact verliep super soepel en Annemarie had veel tips qua eten en drinken in de buurt. Annemarie attendeerde me ook op evenementen die tijdens mijn verblijf zouden plaatsvinden. Ik heb enorm genoten van het huis, de faciliteiten die het huis te bieden heeft en de omgeving. Ik kom hier zeker terug!!!
Das Ferienhaus Mies ist etwas ganz besonderes! Liebevoll eingerichtet und direkt hinterm Deich. Der Garten ist so schön, dass man das Grundstück theoretisch gar nicht verlassen muss. Annemarie ist unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt noch zusätzlich bereichert hat. Wir hatten dort eine wundervolle Zeit - und kommen gerne wieder!
