Mimitsu is a lovely little seaside village on the Miyazaki coast with a warm community. At Mizou, we had everything we needed for the week and a half we stayed. Yasu and Angela offered great local suggestions too, which made all the difference. Would recommend a car as the buses operate on a very limited schedule.

A perfect place to have some quality peaceful time! Angela and Yasu are reachable, helpful and easy to communicate with. They are quick to respond to any questions. The kitchen has everything you need to cook simple meals. The two tatami rooms are cozy. The dining table is good sized and great for doing some work. The wifi is also good. Great for workcation! The house is well planned. After coming back from surfing, you can put your board on the rack and hang your wetsuits outside. Then, you can go straight to have a shower. The workbench comes in handy for waxing your board or repairing a ding. Last but not least, I like the “doma” space, which is really rare to see in Japan nowadays. The house is located in a cute coastal village where you can savor historic ambience. Strolling around the village is relaxing. It’s really quiet at night. Great for a super light sleeper like myself. What’s not to like? Thank you, Angela and Yasu. I didn’t want to leave the house. It felt like home!
