The Casa do Porto was a delightful space. All amenities were exactly as listed. The views from the terrace were great and we could walk to anywhere in Madalena within a half-hour, including restaurants, supermarket, tourist kiosks, the UNESCO Vineyards Heritage Site (not to be missed). We came to Pico with the sole intention of climbing the volcano (which we did!) but probably would stay longer than the three nights in hindsight. Pedro's assistant, Rui, was quick to respond to my texts when I needed help with a couple of things. The kitchen was fully equipped, which we were appreciative of, as we found the couple of restaurants we visited to be pricey and not as high in quality as those we found on São Miguel. There is a bar nearby and it was a bit loud on the Saturday night, but not on the other two nights. Some people may find the odor of the seaweed dredging a bit off-putting, but it reminded us that we were at the seashore and found it reminiscent of Coney Island.

This modern apartment by the sea in Madalena is excellent. It's in a very convenient location especially if you plan to take a ferry or go whale watching as we did. The kitchen is well equipped for making meals and we were provided with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was very pleasant, responsive and accomodating. If we were to return to Pico, we would certainly stay at the apartment again.

This is a very modern, well-equipped and confortable apartment right on the harbour, with a great terrace. It is a short walk from the ferry terminal. It is beside a bar (which has good hamburgers), but the windows block most of the noise, and it closes at midnight. There is parking nearby. I appreciate the effort to accommodate my scent allergy, but it seems it is difficult to find scent-free laundry detergent in the Azores. The host was very responsive and friendly.

Pedro a été très accueillant. Nous avons reçus des raisins et figues fraîches lors de notre séjour. L’appartement est moderne et décoré avec goût. Tout y est. Situé au centre de Madalena. La terrasse donne vue sur la mer et l’embarquement des zodiac a pour les baleines.
