The place is located right outside of Ettenheim, and offers beautiful views of the Schwarzwald. The apartment was spotless, organized, free of clutter and nicely decorated. We quickly noticed that the wi-fi wasn’t working and reached out to the host, who was very slow to respond. Eventually, 24 hours later out of our 2 day stay they attempted to help but there was no improvement. They gave up on trying to remedy the situation and left us without wi-fi or answers for the remainder of our stay. In a location like this, where cell service is already sparse, it is extremely inconvenient to not have any kind of connection. In addition to that, in the summer it would be pretty convenient to have some form of AC or fans, as it does get pretty hot. If disconnecting in a peaceful environment is what you’re after, this could be a great place for you. If wi-fi and cell service is crucial for work and study, like in our case, we recommend staying elsewhere.
