The area was very peaceful and the host was super nice! If you’re visiting Alba I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great place for a quick getaway to Lake Fork. Very private in a great location. Absolutely recommend!

We had a delightful weekend at Milagros' place! She and her husband are truly the most hospitable hosts I've ever met! The room was very tidy, close to the lake, and we even went boating. Some people nearby were fishing too. Milagros thoughtfully prepared barbecue supplies for us and invited us to dine in the dining room. She helped us light the fire and taught us how to make Smores, a dessert I absolutely loved! On a rainy day, She thoughtfully provided umbrellas for us, and the breakfast was very plentiful. They also have two adorable huskies. I really love everything about this place—it's quiet, away from the city, and beautifully scenic. I hope I can come back again!

We were lucky enough to find Milagros and Alfonso's place as our family eclipse retreat after they had a last-minute cancelation. It's so peaceful and gorgeous. Milagros and Alfonso were so welcoming and hospitable, and were kind enough to let us stay to watch the eclipse on their property after checkout. It felt like we were family, and I could tell they would have been happy to acommodate any reasonable request. We had access to the pier, could have used their paddleboats, fished, swam in the pool (in summer), and used the fire pit. Alfonso mentioned a nature preserve nearby we'd like to check out next time. I'm so glad we arrived before sunset, and I loved how active all the birds were. Alfonso even showed our kids some bluebird chicks in their bird house. Can't wait to get back to this wonderful escape from city life. The cozy room accommodated our family of 4 plus our pup just fine. The outdoor patio area with a counter and table was a nice extension of the indoor space.
