Welcome fellow travelers! I’ve been using Airbnb for over a decade, and it’s a pleasure to open my home. That’s the operative word – home. This is my primary residence. It has all the amenities and feelings of a space a person lives in and has cultivated over time. It also reflects my perspective on hosting: to create the kind of place I’d enjoy staying in. I want you to feel welcome and cared for. This 2,000 square foot remodeled 1950s ranch with 2 BEDROOMS and 2 BATHS and a bonus workout room sleeps up to 4 people and sits in an ideal West side location – a quiet, leafy neighborhood with excellent walkability to everything you need (supermarkets, sushi, bagels, pharmacy) and convenient access to the beach (10 minutes by car) and to LAX (20 minutes). Perfect for a family, Mar Vista Park sits at the base of the neighborhood with a Sunday farmers market nearby. Relax at night by the backyard fire pit, sipping the margarita you made with the fresh limes you picked from my abundant tree. The two-car driveway features a Level 2 charging station for electric vehicles. Due to allergies, no pets allowed (sorry!). MAIN LIVING AREA Stepping through the front door, you’re greeted by a bright and airy open living space with high ceilings and slide-and-fold patio doors that create the indoor/outdoor vibe that SoCal is famous for. To your right, the kitchen features an 11-foot island with counter seating for three. Counter top appliances include a microwave, toaster oven, soda stream and coffee maker (French press also available). The sink has a disposal, and there is a dishwasher. Adjacent to the island, a breakfast nook with bench seating accommodates four people. The kitchen comes fully stocked. Coffee, tea, olive oil, spices, paper towels are provided. Plus ample cookware, glassware, tupperware… all the -wares. If you want to make ice cream, there’s an ice cream maker. If you juice, there’s a juicer. To your left, you’ll find a cozy sitting area for reading (feel free to light the fireplace candles) and a six-seat dining table. Walk in further, you arrive at a living room with two sofas long enough to nap on and a 55” television. An Apple TV is provided for guests to access their streaming subscriptions. Additional amenities include a central air/heating system (Nest), a washer-dryer (“free and clear” detergent provided), and high-speed Wi-Fi. The bonus workout room includes adjustable dumbbells, kettle bells and a well-loved Concept II rowing machine. BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS Bedroom #1, at the front of the house, features a Cal King bed, a closet and two mid-century dressers. The bedding is all-cotton, the pillows and duvet are feather. The Avocado mattress is medium to medium firm. The bathroom across the hall has a tub/shower and a double-sink vanity. Bedroom #2, at the back of the house, features a queen bed, garden access and an en-suite bathroom. Again, the bedding is all-cotton, the pillows and duvet are feather, the mattress medium to medium firm. This bathroom is shower-only with a single-sink vanity and an open wardrobe for hanging clothes.
