We were being accused of having an extra person staying, this equated to a €68 extra charge asked for. I suggested the matter be referred to Airbnb and after that things were resolved. Bottom line here is if you have a problem put it in the review, if you don’t want to deal with hosts that make things up in their heads use a hotel, if you want an easy arbitration process don’t get into a disagreement in the first place as it takes time and is protracted with little to show in return. I’ve been both host and traveler and this was the most trying person I’ve ever had to deal with
Modern decor, spacious; comfy beds; mostly clean; well equipped; 2 shower rooms. Quiet location (30 mins walk from centre); nearby pharmacy and shops. No smoke/carbon monoxide alarms - as clearly stated, so take own for safety as only 1 door in/out and bars on all windows. Ground floor with shutters, black/white/metal/glass decor made apartment feel cold and fairly claustrophobic. (A splash of colour would make all the difference - bright rug and cushions perhaps). Uncomfortable settee. Host was very polite but our lack of Spanish and his difficulty with English meant poor communication about getting access at start. Entry was before 10pm, and our flight meant that we wouldn't arrive until midnight, so we had to pay for an unexpected night at Malaga before travelling to Seville. (To be fair, host responded to us, but it was on day we were travelling - to say that someone could meet us at midnight after all - but it was too late. A few small changes could make a huge improvement.
Juan is a very friendly and welcoming host. He made us feel very much at home. The apartment was great for what we were looking for, in a good neighbourhood, close to all the tourist hotspots but in a residential area that makes you feel like a local. There is a lovely park opposite where we had some nice walls in the sunshine. The apartment has lots of amenities - fully functioning kitchen with large fridge freezer, washing machine and oven/hob. Beds are comfy and with two bathrooms, is very convenient for families. Getting into the centre of Seville is very easy, with a bus stop on the other side of the road, Lime bikes on the corner of the street and Voi scooters within walking distance. You can easily be in the heart of Seville in less than 15 mins, although we recommend the walk, longer yes, but through the Parque de Maria Luisa & Plaza de Espana, it is worth it. We would definitely stay with Juan again.
