Inhabited in the Etruscan age, Montepulciano was for many centuries at the center of the war between Siena and Florence. the cities were in conflict for the dominion of Montepulciano until 1232. Montepulciano has only one main road called "Il Corso" which starts from the lower part of the city and reaches the Piazza Grande. Outside the walls, there are the Church of Sant'Agnese with the Gothic portal, the Medici Fortress of Sangallo and the fourteenth-century gate of Gracciano still used today as the gateway to the town. Outside the walls of the historic center of Montepulciano, in the center of a spacious and verdant meadow, there is the Church of San Biagio, a masterpiece by Antonio da Sangallo. This temple is considered the highest expression of Renaissance architecture on buildings with a Greek cross plan. It's nice to get lost in the typical streets of Montepulciano, where time seems to have stopped, visit the cellars, taste and discover the secrets of the Nobile wine, ideal to accompany the local cuisine.
The area, full of both public and private spa facilities, offers guests the opportunity to enjoy relaxing and regenerating treatments. The most famous spas in the area are: Chianciano Terme, Bagno Vignoni, Sant'Albino, San Casciano dei Bagni, Bagni San Filippo, Rapolano Terme and Bagni di Petriolo. From Montepulciano the main tourist destinations of central Italy such as Siena, Florence, Assisi, Perugia can be reached in a short time.

The village is located about 2.5 km on foot from the S. Albino Terme bus stop. From here it is possible to reach both the center of Montepulciano and the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme train station where the fast trains to Rome or Milan stop. However, it is advisable to have a car, unfortunately there is no public transport that arrives directly at the village.
Upon reservation, it is possible to use a private car park at the entrance to the historic center of Montepulciano. The cost is €5/day.
