Ideal for people who want to nestle into a happy and friendly family setting with our three year old son. We love to cook and share culinary secrets, and our son is a party animal (so the house may be a little messy with toys sometimes). 10km from 4 beaches, two of which are free entry. Higher up in elevation so temp is cooler and fan at night is sufficient. Surrounded by jungle about 100m from main road, very quiet. Feeding leftovers to two stray puppies but they are not allowed in the house. Clean and very quiet, if you ignore the occasional outbursts of our energetic son.

Mel’s homely home is so lovely! It is tucked away by beautiful surroundings but also driving distance to some of the best beaches in Guimaras. The house itself is complete with everything you need, a spacious living area, a balcony with beautiful views and a kitchen with lots of utensils. Myself and my partner took our motorbike, but if you are not driving her house is just walking distance from the road where you can get a tricycle. Mel and Karel were AWESOME hosts! They were both so friendly and we loved the welcome shot on arrival! Overall we had a great stay and would definitely come back again to stay longer!

Rural area so you can get fresh organic eggs and some neighbours grow vegetables.
Best to rent a motorbike in iloilo or at the passenger port once you arrive onto the island. We are about 30 minutes from the main town, otherwise everything is nearby, including freshly caught fish and seafood.
