This cozy cottage getaway is small town life at its finest. Enjoy your coffee on the porch, cuddle up with a book in the living room, shoot a game of pool in the basement...this space is meant to be a relaxing respite from your busy life! This one-and-a-half story, early 1900's cottage features a covered porch with views of main street, a nice backyard, and a driveway for 2-3 vehicles (off-street parking is available for additional vehicles/guests). You'll enjoy antiques from top to bottom in this home from the fretwork on the porch to the refinished solid wood doors. Our cottage kitchen is large enough to cook meals and enjoy dinners around a farmhouse table...and it's fully stocked with dishes, utensils, glasses, and other kitchen necessities like a Keurig, crockpot, toaster, etc. Everything from the tin ceiling to the farmhouse sink to the refinished pine plank floors tell a story we hope you enjoy during your stay. The charm of this cottage bathroom is obvious, and authentic. The clawfoot tub beckons guests to take a long soak in some bubbles with their favorite book safely resting on the bamboo wooden tray. The main living area will comfortably seat six, with room for plenty of floor pillows on a movie night. TV is equipped with DVD player + Roku for you to login and steam whatever you'd like (just make sure to log-out upon departure!) You might enjoy perusing the large DVD collection of Rom-Coms in the TV armoire, reading a book in an antique arm chair, or just sitting quietly with your coffee in the morning. Exposed beams + vintage chandelier adorn the ceiling in this room, one of our favorite features of the home. Our cozy main floor bedroom features an iron bedframe, double bed, a large tallboy dresser, and a large closet. Cuddle up in the Magnolia bedding and take a midday nap or spend the morning sleeping in. We've stored a pack-and-play in the closet for our smallest guests. Up the stairs you'll find a spacious landing area, with a twin bed + small dresser. Shabby Chic inspired, this little space is small but adorable and leads to the largest bedroom in the 1/2 story area. A second-story view of main street + the golf course, two large closet spaces, TV + Roku, double bed, and an endless collection of interesting antiques to enjoy...our favorite item is the old covered wagon buckboard seat! Spend some time rocking in the wicker rocking chair in the corner or cuddle up with a vintage quilt, this is a room you'll never want to leave! Laundry is located in a utility room in the basement and available for guest use. An antique school chalkboard + small "pretend school" and toy area is located in an open area of the basement (our future plans include bunk beds for this space!), and a Billiards room mean hours of pool tournaments and darts! Gather around the picnic table in the backyard and share a meal under the party lights...this space is for slowing down and connecting with the ones you love.
