Beautiful old place but quite dusty. Close to great walks on the beach and other trails. Very comfortable bed.

Home has amazing history that I looked up, bed was comfortable, but the place was so dirty it was hard to appreciate the charm. Could be so amazing with some basic care.

Lovely place to base to explore the area. Right on the road that leads to Trial bay so some traffic noise but it is quickly ignored with the beautiful bird noises and lush garden. The couch is not that comfy but otherwise, it was a fabulous place. I really enjoyed my stay.

My mum loved her five night stay in Arakoon. This is what she said: “This is my ideal place. If you’re looking for’ schmick’ : chrome and glass …or the centre of the action … this probably isn’t it. Arakoon house has beauty ,ambience , old world charm, an amazing tropical garden and abundant bird life. You can chill out on the verandah for hours, walk down a quiet bush track to your own deserted beach… The house is old. Facilities are average (homey) but more than adequate : well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, clean bathroom, tv, good bookshelf (!) I found everything I needed. So….If you’re looking to walk barefoot on the beach, catch up with an old friend, have a little family getaway, (or a romantic weekend,) or find space to reboot and write your masterpiece, then this is for you.”
