What a wonderful stay we had. We were only at Pilar and Isabel’s home for one night but we will never forget it. Isabel met us at her home and was so welcoming from the minute we arrived. Not only did she give us so many tips on what to do in the area, she was warm and friendly the whole time we were there. Such lovely conversation in the evening and again as we all ate beautiful local cheese, fruit and bread for breakfast. The house and surrounds were so beautiful and peaceful we could have stayed forever.

We had an excellent stay at La Casa de los Miradores located in a riverside village. We were looking for a place near Santander that offers a richer experience than the typical hotel stay. This property was perfect! One of the best things about this house is the namesake “Mirador”, a glass enclosed sitting room that makes for an amazing place to enjoy the views of the rolling hills. We stayed on the upper level which gives you a lot of privacy since you have the whole level to yourself with an open “yoga area” plus a private bedroom/bathroom. The main level is available for use and features a gourmet kitchen and living area with doors that open to the lawn. The other highlight are the hostesses, Pilar and Isabelle. They are fun and easygoing. Isabelle is a native Cantabrian and can give you tips on local sites, restaurants and day hikes. The location is perfect - an easy day trip to Santillana del Mar and all the gorgeous beaches. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

We had an amazing stay at Casa de Pilar and Isabel! The tranquility of the surroundings made for a peaceful getaway. Close by we exploring the picturesque villages, see the stunning cliffs and enjoying the beaches added to the charm. The location is convenient, with easy access to Comillas and Santander. The house itself is not only beautiful but also cozy, providing a perfect retreat. Make sure to follow the provided directions, and not the Maps! It can lead you to a narrow street where you don't want to be... Highly recommend this place for a delightful and relaxing experience. Hope to come back one day ❤︎

Pilar’s house is absolutely stunning, even nicer than the photos! Beautifully decorated with details, books and table games. Perfectly integrated in the top of a quiet little village, the house offers an amazing garden, great view of the valley and lambs grazing the neighbor field. Pilar is a super kind host, made us feel completely at home, showed us the entire house, the surroundings and gave us good tips about the region. We were traveling with our 2 children so we stayed at the apartment on the second floor that offers 2 super comfy bedrooms, a beautiful bathroom and a large living space with a simple but useful kitchenette. I love to start my day with stretching and meditation, founding yoga matts was a nice surprise, this room was perfect while the rest of the family was sleeping… and you can sleep late there because is absolutely quiet. Although Pilar was staying in the house, we had our own privacy and felt completely independent being upstairs. We’ll be back for sure!
