We enjoyed our stay at Jeff and Katie's place! It was perfect for our family and the location was great for our weekend. Close to family nearby, close to the Zoo for our Saturday visit, and right next door to a delicious coffee place! Our kids loved playing around the putting green and sleeping in the bunk room!
Jeff and Katie's place was great. It was super clean, well designed and they were very attentive hosts. They supplied a lot of things you need in a home (coffee, spices, TP, etc). I was slightly apprehensive about booking because of a previous review regarding the neighbors below complaining about the noise, and unfortunately we experienced the same thing. I have two small children and they can certainly be a bit rowdy, but Jeff and Katie were very gracious in their approach when letting us know. I would highly recommend this place for a small family/group with no kids - specifically if there's someone occupying the unit on the first floor. Finding out if there's anyone booked in the first floor unit during the dates you're wanting to book would be good information to have if you're planning to book the second floor unit, especially if you're bringing children. Overall, our stay was great and we'd book with Jeff and Katie again in the future!
This is one of the nicest rental properties we've ever used. It is more spacious than we anticipated based on the photos. It was very comfortable for our family of five. Jeff and Katie were very gracious hosts and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. My sister lives nearby, so we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to family.
One of the best places to stay in ATL! great location near Kirkwood and walkable to restaurants and bars. Spotless and had all amenities we needed. This is our second time staying and it has not disappointed!
East Lake is a historic neighborhood (Est. 1904) that has wonderful walkability and is in a prime location to other eclectic Atlanta areas. Directly across the street, is a brewery (Hippin' Hops), coffee shop (Perc), and 4 restaurants (Poor Hendrix, Salaryman, La Fonda, and Mixed Up Burgers).
Our home is also walkable to East Lake golf course (come see the FedEx Tour of Champions, 1 mi.), Oakhurst & Kirkwood Villages (even more restaurants, 1.5 mi.), & East Lake Marta station (1 mi.).
It is a short jaunt to downtown Decatur (2 mi.), Candler Park (3 mi.), Little 5 Points (3.7 mi.), the beltline (3.7 mi.), Emory University/Emory medical campus (4 mi.), Inman Park (4 mi.), downtown (5.3 mi.), and midtown (6.3 mi.).
Staying here you'll be centrally located to many parts of the city. East Lake has so much to offer. It’s quiet, quaint, and very walkable. And if you want to venture a bit further, biking or an Uber/Lyft is an easy way to get around.
We have a driveway for free ample parking. Street parking is also free for the most part. Once you venture a bit further to Decatur, downtown, or midtown, the city requires paid parking.
