The people running Captain’s Quarters were very nice and welcoming. The room was fine, but it definitely looked a bit more run down than we expected based on the photos. There was an advertised breakfast included in the price, but no sign of it in the morning. There was coffee available which was nice. Location was good, walkable to most restaurants and shops and you can get the beach quite easily.

First, I’d liked to mention that I love what this lovely place stands for. To help veterans and their families is a great cause! When I arrived, I was greeted by Becky. She was extremely helpful in answering any questions that I had. I should also mention her pancakes!! So delicious!! Carrot cake pancakes?! Who would’ve thought? The place was clean, quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of town, but within walking distance of downtown. I would highly recommend Captains Quarters.

Can’t say enough good things about our stay with Becky and the wonderful people we met at the Captains Quarters! We loved our room with our private bathroom, and the community kitchen! We were able to store things in the fridge there, cooked dinner, enjoyed Becky’s pancakes and scrambled eggs, good coffee! She’s very helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area. We regretted only staying one night and will be back for sure. There are lots of great beaches, state parks, and hiking trails nearby. Awesome stay!
