This was our second time visiting Venado Valley Ranch, and we enjoyed our stay just as much as the first time. We loved the beautiful surroundings, and even saw several toucans this time. We visited the waterfall and took a swim, and rode horses on the hills above the property. Highly recommended, and lots of fun for families!

It is almost impossible to describe the magic of this beautiful ranch and the lifestyle that will scoop you right up upon your arrival. My husband and two kids, age 5 and 7, stayed for 3 nights and had the absolute best time! The grounds surrounding the farm might be the most beautiful place i've ever had the pleasure of staying overnight. There are mountains surrounding the property, bountiful flowers everywhere, a musical chorus of every kind of tropical animal you can imagine hearing - it is other worldly. From the moment we stepped out of our car we felt so welcomed and like we were a part of the very unique "family" Sandra has created at the farm. My girls helped Ronald milk cows at 5:30 am for 3 days in a row!! We were all able to go on a stunning horseback ride through the hills led by the amazing Ronald, we helped to collect eggs, swam in the fresh pool, explored the river and enjoyed every delicious, fresh meal with Sandra and her team. Thank you Sandra for 3 days of magic!!!

What a unique and beautiful stay we experienced at Venado Ranch! This is an excellent place to unplug completely and dive into nature. Sandra, Ronald, Demaris, Esperanza, and Henry were all so welcoming and helpful. We had the breakfasts and dinners every day of our stay and it was the BEST food we had on our entire trip to Costa Rica, made with love for certain, and not to be missed. The waterfall hike was epic, thanks to Ronald's help expertly taking us gringos through the jungle. My 8YO daughter loved the animals, we all did, especially Pepsi and Rico. Pepsi is the best dog we've ever known, and we were all sad to say goodbye to him. For those light sleepers out there, this isn't the quietest of places, given the animals and early morning cow milking, but don't fret, there is plenty of nap time mid day to be had. Sandra, thank you so much for the joyful conversation, and we hope to see you again soon and will tell anyone who will listen that Venado Ranch is a must! Pura Vida!

This place is truly magic. It’s such a beautiful and peaceful farm with the most kind and wonderful people. The rooms themselves were very cozy and clean, almost like four individual hotel rooms with a common balcony area for hanging out. It was a really nice way to get some privacy from friends after traveling together all week while still feeling connected. Everything that Damaris and Esperanza cooked was phenomenal, it was such an unexpectedly nice surprise to have home cooked meals with great company. The farm is definitely more of a rural experience but it is right outside of a small town, and about 45 minutes from La Fortuna and all that there is to do there. We loved this experience so much, it was definitely the highlight of our whole experience in Costa Rica!
