Mike and Umi’s cottage was one of our favorite vacation rentals from the fifteen years that we’ve been renting around the world. Here’s why: (1) it was centrally located between all the ski mountains and activities like snow shoeing; (2) when we weren’t outside, this house and its features delivered fun and comfort (3) it was clean and well appointed (4) the decor was so fun and (5) the layout of the house is great and we had PLENTY of space to spread out. The hot tub, sauna, pool table, Sonos and TVs all worked and are in great condition. The kitchen has everything you need for a mountain retreat and more. The beds are comfortable with plenty of linens. Mike and Umi were great hosts too- very responsive if we had questions and provided insights about the area. If you are going to Southern Vermont for Okemo, Mount Snow, Stratton, Bromley, Magic Mountain or other mountains within an hour… stay here! You won’t be disappointed. It’s awesome.

Umi & Mike's place was everything we were hoping for for our ski trip! The amenities and pictures were all as advertised and we felt at home right away. The great room w/ fireplace was the perfect place to unwind and stay warm and the spa facilities hit the spot every time and super nice to have after skiing! There were clear instructions and labeling throughout the house to make things very easy for us, and hosts were very responsive and friendly. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend!!

Great place in a convenient location to Stratton, Okemo, and Bromley. The spa was amazing, clean, and beautiful. Comfy beds. The Great Room was awesome with a huge fireplace, plenty of the driest firewood we ever burned, a pool table, and a big flat screen where we celebrated our son's birthday. This place would be priced 3x higher if it was on the mountain but we love that it was available for our budget in a peaceful wooded location close to everything we wanted. Highly recommend The Silver Fork in Manchester and The Vermont Country Store in Weston.

The property is beautiful. The thoughtfully decorated home is such a comfortable spot to relax with so many more ammenities than a typical hotel & so much more private. It was a rainy weekend, so the hot tub being indoors was wonderful! The sauna was clean & really easy to use. We very much enjoyed listening to music on youtube while playing pool. We appreciated the fact that they had a regular coffee maker and not just a Keurig. It was clear that Umi & Mike enjoy sharing their home with people & truly want guests to have an amazing experience in Vermont. We want to visit again in the winter!
