La maison de Diane est trés spacieuse et agréable nichée dans un écrin de verdure trés calme. Il y a un petit supermarché à 5 min en voiture et une boulangerie et également une borne pour recharger sa voiture. Diane a toujours été réactive et nous a donné des instructions claires pour notre arrivée et départ.

The house is completely secluded and private, very spacious and has a beautiful view of the surroundings. (We even saw a wild boar walking through the fields!) The swimming pool is nicely closed to be able to stay there with small children. We had a great holiday!

groot huis en alles erop en eraan. geheel privé, ruime tuin en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. dit zowel voor binnen als buiten. jammer dat er in de buurt weinig te doen is, maar voor de rust en genieten van het gezelschap en een toffe wandeling is dit een aanrader!

Gite de charme et de caractère en plein milieu de la campagne charentaise. Tout est prévu pour que les vacanciers y passent de beaux moments: piscine, mobilier de jardin, grand terrain, deux terrasses, jeux de jardin et de société en nombre, cuisine super bien équipée, linge de maison de qualité (draps de lit, drap de douche et de piscine, torchons de cuisine). Il ne manque rien! Nous y avons passé une très agréable semaine. Nous le recommandons vivement pour les grandes familles.

Having spent considerable amount of time researching and looking for the right accommodation for two families (10 adults) we were not disappointed with our choice to stay at la Maison Neuve. The house and settings is beautiful, very quiet and yet close to Champagne Mouton, which has a Carrefour supermarket, boulangerie, chemist, newsagents and a great café/bar open from Wednesdays to Sunday. It’s a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk or you can even use the bikes available at the house which were really useful. The house and grounds were large enough that you don’t feel on top of one another, and the pool was ample even for our large group. There were plenty of sunbeds to go around. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, which was great as we did a fair bit of cooking. There is plenty of space to eat outside either at the back of the house or front and a small BBQ is provided too. As the house is set in the countryside, the light pollution is minimal and so gave us some amazing sights of the milky way, shooting stars in the evenings. About 15 mins drive towards Ruffec is Ruffec Rejallent Canoe Kayak. A great day out for all ages, where you can picnic by the river, paddle or swim in the river and hire kayaks. Diane was really helpful leading up to our trip and responded to my long list of questions very quickly, also providing me with lots of information which contributed to such an amazing holiday. Beth the housekeeper was on hand locally if needed and was brilliant during our stay. This was the first family holiday together and it was perfect for everyone. We would 100% recommend and we cant wait to come back. Thank you Diane & Beth.
