We found and fell in love with Tregerrin Barns 15 years ago as derelict 19th Century farm buildings. They sit in the middle of cornfields between Padstow and Trevone in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on Cornwalls north coast. Within a short walk are the beaches of Trevone, Harlyn, and Tregirls, Padstow and it's top restaurants, and glorious hikes around a magnificent coast. We retained the essence of the barns in natural stone and oak for a simple, quiet, and beautiful place to stay. There are two stone barns at Tregerrin with private gardens, The Lynhay and The Barn (sleeps 7 -see separate listing). Both can be rented separately or together. We also have a large steel play barn on site with football goals, ping- pong and basket ball so even rainy days are easy for children. Even better, with patience, you can watch our resident barn owls that nest in the roof of the barn and have young every year.

We spent a wonderful week here. The barn was beautifully converted, clean yet homely. A brilliant location at the end of a track surrounded by fields yet walkable across the fields to Trevone with access then to stunning beaches. Being close to Padstow there are plenty of great restaurants, fish and chips etc and lots to do outside such as the Camel trail. Another great family trip and we certainly hope to be back again. Beautiful barn in a beautiful location. It was in a very quiet and peaceful location with only a short walk to the beautiful Trevone Bay and the bustling town of Padstow. The house was very tidy and the communication from Jon and Viv was brilliant! They also accommodated us last minute as we had een let down by another host on Air BnB when we arrived so we were stranded with no place to stay. Jon and Viv were proactive with communications and made us feel at home and even allowed us an extended stay. Brilliant hosts, brilliant location and a brilliant place. Would definitely stay again!
Having just spent a week at The Lynhay we can’t wait to return. The location is so private and rural, and yet so easy to walk to the nearby fabulous farm shop, Trevone beach and Padstow. The property is well equipped with such a homely feeling, the Aga being so easy to cook on. For anyone wanting a ‘get away’ holiday, but with everything you could want within easy reach this is the property for you. It certainly deserves 5 stars from us and we will be back.
Very nice small cottage in the middle of corn fields. Make sure your car has enough ground clearance for the final few yards down the pathway. Overall we had a great week!
Just returned from a wonderful week staying in the Lynhay. We felt immediately at home there and the setting was really peaceful and restorative - we didn’t want to leave. Thank you for letting us stay - we’d love to come back next year!

There are numerous easy reach beaches offering sheltered spots for children, rock-pooling or great surf, some within lovely easy walking. At the end of our track is a superb farm shop selling locally reared meats, home grown veg, wines, beers with a great cafe selling outstanding meals to eat in or take-away.
Padstow needs little introduction. Whether you want to just amble around the ancient fishing harbour, visit the many pubs or eat out at restaurants ranging from Michelin stars to top fish and chips you wont be disappointed.
We are lucky that it's easy just to leave your car when you arrive and walk everywhere but nowhere is far by car in Cornwall. Bodmin Parkway railway station gives access to the rest of the country or if you prefer Newquay airport gives fast scheduled flights to London and other European destinations. Buses connect to rail station and airport.
