Angelo’s place is in Klong Son which is a more secluded part of Koh Chang & is perfect for someone wanting a rustic/local vibe stay. It is quite a drive from the attractions on the island and we had to drive long distances if we wanted to sightsee. We ended up cutting our reservation short due to a water supply issue at his house (the water would frequently cut out intermittently and turn back on after about 10-15 minutes. This happened mid-shower a few times) but Angelo was very helpful and friendly and offered a refund/to pay for us to stay at another house, although we declined. Angelo’s place would be perfect for someone wanting an upgrade from a hostel or for someone who doesn’t need a lot of extravagance. The Wi-Fi kept going out and there were no amenities such as extra blankets, towels, soap, etc. but the air conditioning worked well!

Super house with a convenient location away from the noisy highway, but within walking distance to supermarkets. We lived in the house for a month, rented a scooter from our neighbor at a very good price. From home it is very convenient to explore both sides of the island. Inside the house there is good air conditioning, a huge bed. We cooked food ourselves, so everything is ready for this, the refrigerator is very spacious. The veranda is almost a full-fledged room, we spent half the time there, it is always in the shade, has a good view and is hidden from strangers. We took a bath a couple of times - it takes long time to fill it, but worth it. Washing machine is great. Angelo is a friendly and helpful person, I recommend his house and Koh Chang.
