We just spent one night on our way to Cat Ba. The room was big with one big bed and a double madras on the floor. The mattresses were very hard when you’re not use to it. Hue was very positive, but did not speak English.

The warmest of welcomes. A lovely house with an amazing room, safe and secure. Perfect for a short or long stay in Hai Phòng. They even throw in an occasional free beer. Would definitely recommend to all.

My room accommodations got canceled a couple of days before I landed in Haiphong. After frantically contacting people and receiving extreme markups for homestays in the area, I finally found Cindy's grandparent's house. She was extremely nice and understood my situation. The pricing for each night was very reasonable and definitely worth it. Her grandparents live on the first floor and provided food, water, and anything that we needed on a daily basis. The rooms are larger than most of the hotels around town and the bathrooms are very clean. All of the bathrooms have water heaters as well as miniature kitchens where you can cook your own meals. The rooms are equipped with: very strong air conditioners, fans, desks, refrigerators, water dispensers, closets with clothes hangers, and TVs. On the sixth floor, there are washing machines where you can wash your own clothes and they even provide the laundry detergent. Ultimately, I could have not asked for a better stay in Cindy's grandparent's house. Cindy and her family were very great. I hope to be back here the next time I visit Haiphong.
