Hello, Sara and I moved to San Antonio after 8 years in Hawaii as an Army Family. I am now semi-retired after serving 28 years as an active duty Army Officer. Sara teaches at a private Christian school and is the backbone of the craziness that comes with having a 12 year old daughter and two very active boys now 9 and 8 years old. Immediately after moving to San Antonio, we found ourselves coming to Padre Island in Corpus Christi and Port Aransas at least once a month to enjoy the pristine beaches. Coming from Hawaii, our standards were pretty high, but let me tell you we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the beaches and canals were, how great the weather is 12 months a year and how much there was to do on the water either fishing, kayaking, boogie boarding or just hanging on the beach any time of the year. We rented through Airbnb, but knew we wanted our own place. Through good fortune and the grace of God, we found an absolute gem of a condo in a ‘perfect’ location. We simply love it down here in this incredible location and are making lasting memories for our 3 young children. After an incredible first summer, we just didn't have as much time to spend at the condo during the school year so we started renting through Airbnb. We now have another newly renovated condo in the same complex also on Airbnb. Sara oversaw an initial reconstruction renovation and then in early 2020 did another major overhaul of the interior of the condo with new flooring, furniture, flat screen TV's in every room, and new outdoor patio furniture. This last few months we demo'd a tub into a new beautiful stand up shower. See the most recent reviews and accompanying pictures, they tell the story. We've reached Airbnb Superhost status, mostly because we spend an incredible amount of time making sure we over communicate with our guest, ensure the condo is in pristine condition by managing it ourselves, hiring a professional cleaner who takes great pride in making sure everything is super clean and provide amenities you rarely get at any other condo...beach chairs, pool floats, beach towels, propane grill and even a kayaks at no additional charge. It is such a great place and although a lot of work to manage, we recently just purchased a second condo so guest and we can share it with other family members and friends.
