Overall it was a good stay for our family of five (three kids). My wife and I would consider going back without our kids to enjoy morning coffee on the porch. Things to consider: - Recognize that it's an older home, it reminded my spouse and I of our grandparents house (our kids overheard us and started calling it the grandma house). This was a non-issue for us but might be an issue for those who expect new/updated. - We also had to keep an eye on our 3 year old as to not break some non-child-proof, delicate things or to get into drawers/cabinets - Access to the front door requires a walk down a rocky trail. Fine for us and we liked it, but it could be an issue for someone with less mobility. - Porch is pleasant, but we didn't let our kids play out there out there due to fall concern (long fall distance, rail could easily be climbed). The view from the windows was sufficient for us. - Some dead bugs in bathtubs and kitchen, but seems normal for an older lake house

Terrel was a great host, he is always responsive and took good care of us. The place is beautiful and surround by serene nature. I’d whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone who loves a piece of nature in the midst of the hustle bustle of the city.

This was a great place to relax and unwind. The view is spectacular and perfect for a nature getaway. Only thing I would keep in mind, mattresses are old and the king bed was uncomfortable to sleep on. Queen bed felt a bit better.

What a fantastic stay we had at Terrel’s wonderful home. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful sunset views! Terrel was an excellent host, and offered plenty of local recommendations. There are some delicious restaurants within 15 minutes, small local grocers for necessities, and plenty of opportunities to take a short drive to enjoy all that the Texas hill country has to offer. The house design is lovely, but wouldn’t recommend for those with mobility issues or young children. All in all, very grateful for the experience and opportunity to stay at Terrel’s place. Thank you Terrel for helping to make it a great experience! Hope to visit again in the future!
