Lydia and her husband are great host, their family is welcoming, they give their guest privacy and are welcome to interacting with the guest. The also are quick and consistent with communication. Just genuine people completely. The location is great, it has that home vibe and feeling to it and authentic Tanzanian culture to it, it is not far from the beach and is very relaxing it is not in a super busy area, it is on a main road where the customer can take public transportation. The studio Apartment was beautiful, they provided a key to door of the apartment and to the gate , so guest will have privacy and security with the gate, you have a porch with a bench to relax and feel the breeze, and you have an area inside to do yoga or read a book. It has a bathroom and a fan to keep you cool throughout the day and night. The check in and check out was very simple. They also work very well with me upon my arrival and arranged transportation from the airport for me. Breakfast is offered everyday. They have a helper who is very kind and helpful, that is around to assist you during your stay whenever their not present. Overall it was a great value for a great experience.

Great place! The apartment unit, itself, was sparking clean. Property is very safe and secure. Great features included running water, fan, WiFi and refrigerator in main house. Lydia and her husband are extremely responsive and helpful; the housekeeper/nanny is fantastic. Close to beaches and markets. One thing to be aware of is the noise level—TV volume, kids, visitors’ voices, etc. (The neighborhood, itself is extremely quiet.) I was gone for 12 hours every day so less impacted than other travelers might be who plan spending more time at home..

As a first solo traveler, I Spent 7 nights in this place. The host and her family were very good hosts. They were available anytime I needed their assistance. The place is in the local area, Close to public transport. Their helper assisted me evrytime I needed directions to go somewhere. There are children, so it can be noisy in the afternoon and morning but it's quiet when they are at school. The space has privacy too.

I loved meeting Lydia and family, but also having a private and peaceful space away from the house was perfect. There is a little sitting room as well, where I sat and read a book. The house is close to a nice market. I like the Kigamboni side, going across o the ferry :) Highly recommended!
