Lovely home with plenty of space for our group of 3 adults and a child. It's an older style house which suited us, feels like a real home rather than a hotel. Well equiped kitchen, nice backyard, close to shops and train station, and easy access to bike paths.

We stayed at Emma's place for 3.5 months whilst we were buying a house in Melbourne. Her house is absolutely lovely and we felt right at home there. Fairfield is a lovely suburb with a High Street that is within walking distance which has great shops, bakeries and restaurants. We did not need a car to go shopping. The house could do with a bit of maintenance and my husband who is a passionate gardener busied himself with removing weeds and creating a herb garden but everything else was working perfectly. We had everything we needed to live there, from television to washing machine to dishwasher to fully equipped kitchen to plates, cutlery and - something that is rare - properly sharp kitchen knives. We did not use all of the rooms, but the house would be absolutely fine for a family . The garden is not very big, but one can sit and have a drink under a porch and there is a table to eat . There is also a fully functional BBQ which we used a lot. In essence: A real home from home.

We absolutely loved our stay, thank you Emma & Ben for your hospitality! Loads of natural light, cosy feel & a perfect location. Easy walk to the shops, and a lovely park for the kids a couple of streets away.
