If you're looking for quiet, serenity, and peace you've found it here! Relax and enjoy gorgeous mountain views from your own private suite in the San Diego countryside! Situated on 3 plus acres, with an abundance of fruit trees, beautiful sunsets and starry skies. Occasionally you will get to experience a rocket launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base. There are many wineries and hiking trails within minutes of the property. Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom and a super comfy king-sized bed to dream your night away! There is also a high-quality trundle sleeper sofa that will easily sleep 2 people. If you are up to reading a good book, there is a comfy window seat looking out to the beautiful mountain views. Our suite comes fully equipped with: Full size refrigerator/freezer Full size stove Toaster oven Keurig coffee machine Blender Propane grill All kitchen/cooking utensils King size bed High quality trundle sleeper Plush towels High thread count sheets Extra blankets and pillows Basic toiletries Hair dryer Washer/dryer on property Air conditioner and heat Starlink satellite service (high speed wi-fi) Smart TV - You can login to any of your subscription services such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. Please enjoy roaming around the property. We just ask that you please close any gates behind you. You may be greeted by our super friendly dog Zeena and our cat Fluffy. They are very social and would love to get to know you. Please do not let them inside the studio as to keep the pet allergens to a minimum. We also have 6 chickens that provide us with fresh eggs daily (sometimes in the winter they are on strike). We will be more than happy to share some with you. Just ask! Our property is completely off-grid. All of our energy is from the sun and water from an artesian well that is filtered through 3 stages of filtration and UV light. In the event we get low on solar power, our generator will come on. Don't worry, you will never know that we are off grid. When you arrive, please park in space 2, Ceci Suite. You will go through the gate and take the stairs down. We hope you enjoy your stay. Absolutely stunning stay! Such a nice get away and such amazing views, especially at night since there’s no light pollution. Bed was so comfortable and amenities were just what was needed. Definitely returning!
Victoria’s stylish guest house had everything we needed for peace and tranquility in the countryside. The kitchen is well equipped, which easily allowed us to prepare all of the meals we had during our stay. The king sized bed is very comfortable, the bathroom clean and functional, and even the dimmable lighting makes the space pleasant to relax in. We enjoyed some time chatting with Ed, who is a truly fascinating, thoughtful, and generous person. He may even offer you some produce from their garden, if they have some on hand. I don’t know if there’s a lot to do in the immediate area, but that was just fine for us. We were mostly there to unwind, but we were able to access numerous hikes of varying difficulty within a 20 minute drive, and many more a little farther out. All-in-all a great experience, and would return if back in the area.

We love living here for the peace and quiet. With dirt roads and off-grid homes, this is true San Diego countryside! We are about two miles away from Barona Casino, which has a great food court with plenty of international options .About four miles away is El Capitan hiking trail, which is known to be one of the toughest hikes in all of San Diego county. If you decide to hike this trail, be sure to read about trail safety, because it is very strenuous.
There is also reasonably-priced gas and a mini mart at Barona Casino. We are about 30 miles away from downtown San Diego and about 32 miles away from La Jolla, which is the nearest beach. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is about 20 miles away. We are 10 miles away from the quaint town of Ramona, CA which has wineries and outdoor opportunities. If you'd like to try horseback riding, there are many opportunities for lessons nearby off Willow Rd in Lakeside.
We live next to several farms, so there are goats, horses, sheep, roosters, and cows nearby in the neighborhood.
There is no public transit, but any car will get you around.

We are Ed and Victoria Srour and we are thrilled to have you as our guests! We live in the countryside in beautiful Lakeside, CA very close to Barona Casino and the quaint town of Ramona. Our 3 acre property is completely off the grid! We enjoy tending our fruit orchard, vegetable and herb gardens, and taking care of our egg-laying hens and our dog. We live a wholesome family lifestyle and are excited to meet our new guests! We are also passionate cooks and we love to cook fresh foods from scratch. Many of our meals are made from our own gardens! We love living in San Diego and taking advantage of the nearby mountains and beaches or for hiking and relaxation. We speak fluent Arabic and Ed speaks decent Hebrew as well. We are retired business owners and our motto has always been "The customer is always right." We are eager to please and to make your stay comfortable, peaceful, and opleasant.
