Karen has thought of absolutely everything for this cabin. There was nothing we thought was missing and it definitely exceeded our expectations. We had some troubles with the gate when we arrived and despite it being 9pm, Karen responded to our messages very quickly and helped us out ASAP. The snack box and every toiletry imaginable in case you forgot something was a really nice touch that makes the price well worth it. The property and walk to the river was very peaceful. We only stayed for 2 nights but we didn't leave the property the whole weekend and we wished we could've stayed longer. It was the perfect getaway for some solitude. We would love to come back and stay longer next time.

Great location for rejuvenation in nature. Lots of space and ability to utilize the outdoor amenities (fire-pit, picnic tables, bbq) year-round. We partook in both indoor/outdoor fires and retreated to the comfort of a soft spacious bed at night. It was so nice cooking in the full kitchen equipped with everything you’d need, but were also only 15-30 minutes of lots of local restaurants and breweries in Courtenay, Comox, and Cumberland Animals everywhere - including some visits from deer. The next door neighbour has horses and we enjoyed a very friendly visit from a sweet black cat the night we checked in.

Karen was wonderful and the “cabin” was gorgeous. We stayed as a base camp to go up to Mt. Washington. It was perfect!

Karen is a great host. Upon arrival, there was a nice gift basket. She was very welcoming and nice to interact with. Will be staying again.

Karen's cabin was an extremely cozy getaway that felt welcoming from the moment you walk in. We felt right at home and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Karen was very responsive and helpful whenever we communicated. Would love to return someday when we're in the area!
