Kevin en Anouk zijn fantastische gastheren en zorgen ervoor dat jij je Thuis voelt! De accomodatie was midden in de natuur aan een riviertje. Het eten was een geweldige kwanti en kwaliteit. Ze beginnen pas, maar laten zien dat ze het kunnen! We wensen ze heel veel succes en hopen dat de toekomst hun veel Geluk zal brengen!

Honestly, I booked this bungalow without knowing what I was getting is into. A few things you should know right away… - There is NO hot water. This detail was not listed anywhere that I could find. - You do need a 4x4 to get there, especially if traveling in the rainy season. It says recommended but it’s really a necessity. Lots of muddy mountain roads to get to the property. - the listing advertised a restaurant on site available for all meals. Upon arrival we were told the restaurant was closed other than the provided breakfast. We were sent to a neighboring local chef for dinner (which luckily was amazing), but it was a detail that should have been mentioned beforehand. Especially because… - there is no local market or store to purchase any needed items, like bottled water. You need to bring anything you want with you. They did have beer to sell us, but we ran out of water quickly. The “filtered” water was brown and we would have brought more bottled if we had known. The listing stated the village of Sabalo was nearby if something was needed, but there is no store. Now to the positives! Our host was Phillipe, Andre’s son, and he was responsive to messages. Although it was a trek to get to the property, it was a beautiful property nestled in the jungle of CR. The wildlife and fauna were gorgeous and there was a river running through the property that provided great audio. The bungalow was neat and clean, with very little inside. Again, no hot water, which made showering in the cold mountain water challenging. Overall, we would not return. I think the listing could have been more accurate. We had to leave early because of these issues as well as storm Julia hitting the country.

La atención de Felipe fue muy buena, siempre estuvo pendiente de responder los mensajes que le envié y eso que fueron muchos. Siempre nos preguntó si queríamos algo más y el lugar es alejado de todo bullicio. Con todo esto del Covid el tener cada residencia bien alejada una de otra el lugar es muy apto.

This place is in the real middle of nowhere! You‘ll enjoy it if you like candlelight in the dark, listening to monkeys in the night and having the most beautiful beach after a boattrip trough mangroves for yourself. Thumbs up!
