Gene and his staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay at Sigasiga Sands was enjoyable and comfortable. The property is absolutely beautiful with the bungalows spread out in such a way as you feel you have complete privacy. The on-site staff, Subash and family are friendly and also willing to help in any way. We exclusively used their recommended taxi driver Bablu to take us back and forth to town. We had a wonderful time staying in Seahorse bungalow at Sigasiga Sands and loved Suvasuva and hope to return again.
Receptionist-Caretaker Subash was wonderfully kind, helpful, and trusting! He called a taxi for us, and eventually loaned us his phone when we could not get our international phone plan to work. And Gene checked on us and even patiently helped us jump-start our privately rented car. The highlight of my stay there was snorkeling the channel that Gene helped me discover. The unit was more rustic than my wife hoped for, but I chose the cheaper Vonu Hut. And for Fiji, it was very complete and accommodating.
Had an amazing stay at Sigasiga sands in the Vonu Hut, the view and beach was so beautiful, I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Savusavu. Gene was very helpful and gave me all the information my partner and I needed to know about Sigasiga sands. He let us know how long it would take to get to and from the airport/town, taxi and bus fare prices. He recommended some great swimming spots, our favorite was most definitely the beach right outside Sigasiga. Subash the caretaker was super nice, he made us feel right at home when we arrived and always checked on us every morning if we needed anything. Vonu Hut looked exactly like the photos and had all the amenities listed. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful and private with a view, Sigasiga Sands is the place.

This was our first stop & first visit to the Fiji Islands. It was a great place to learn how to get around the island. Subash & Sinuta, the hosts are very friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating. Sinuta’s home cooking is excellent. There are so many items on her menu to choose from. They are both very hard workers. The location is very quiet & beautiful. The Vonu- Hut did not disappoint us - it was simple but had everything we needed. If you need a ride to anywhere on the island, Bablu’s Yellow Taxi is the greatest. Bablu is honest & knows everyone in town. He is very helpful & will help you find anything you might need. When we return to Vanua Levu we will definitely stay at Siga Siga Sands again. Pronounced Sing-a, Sing-a.
