The Cottage itself is lovely, nicely decorated & comfortable with a nice verandah and outlook. Its located about 15 mins from Margaret River town. The cottage is on a property with a few other houses & cottages which i wasnt aware of , in particular i wasnt aware how close the homestead would be to the cottage. I chose to book this cottage as i was after a quiet country get away to focus on some work for a few days. Unfortunately my experience was not as i expected. The family staying the homestead had numerous children who were enjoying the freedom of the space, and the adults were partying with music well into the night, along with the kids climbing trees beside my cottage in the dark and falling from the tree and breaking an arm, so the peace and quiet i had hoped for wasnt what i experienced. There is limited phone service ( if any at the cottage ) & during my stay the wifi was not working. Ash was a responsive host & was accommodating when i was forced to leave a day early.

Ashe’s place was exactly what we were looking for. A peaceful getaway in a comfortable space! We loved our stay and would come back again.

The little cottage on Moonrise Farm was a peaceful tranquil place to say close to nature and away from the hustle and bustle of the Margaret River Town. Ashe was responsive, considerate and attentive of our needs. For example when the wifi was not working she sorted it out quickly for us. The cottage, had all the basic necessities including a comfortable bed, Nespresso coffee machine and access to a laundry for washing. We enjoyed listening to the birds chirp in the morning; watching the two little blue wrens, the back cockatoos, swallows with a nest in the tree out front and the odd timid rabbit including a baby one! Also, Ashe showed us where we could find the local frogs in the pond behind the cottage which we also spotted.
