We had a wonderful time in Shapleigh, ME! Melissa is great and her home is beautiful. We appreciated how there are separate spaces for privacy and yet the home is warm and cozy with room for everyone. The outdoor space is perfect! There are a few things that would have made this a five star visit for us. The pillows and the towels were not great - next time we would definitely bring our own. The home was mostly clean, but there were a couple things I had to re-clean before we felt comfortable using them - such as the coffee maker and shower. I do expect some level of this when renting, but it is still frustrating when you pay a high cleaning fee. And lastly, it would be so appreciated if there was a pack n' play and highchair at the property. Items like that are not expensive nor difficult to tuck away into a closet and yet they make a *huge* impact on families traveling with small children. We had a lovely time and are looking forward to our next visit to Shapleigh, ME!

This place was very lovely. It is situated in a great spot along the lake. We had ducks, chipmunks, birds and a juvenile Eagle as visitors daily. The home is comfortable, clean, well stocked and laid out spaciously. This was one of our favorite rental homes we’ve stayed in ME/NH area. Sanford is only about 5 mins away and you can get most anything you need there.

A great place for a big family. 2 kitchens was nice in the morning to keep the kids downstairs for breakfast. The patio was so fun with the firepit and the overhead lights during sunset with smores.

This place was great. We traveled to see family and celebrate our son’s 16th birthday with ice fishing. The house had everything we needed, plenty of rooms, clean, great decor! Highly recommend

Melissa’s house was beautiful, quiet and private. Definitely was a relaxing and memorable experience. The shops were not in close proximity to the home, and there were a few things at the house such as the grill that we were not able to use due to the fact that it was filthy. Aside from this and a few other missing amenities the stay was a pleasurable one.
