True North Cabin is an extremely special place. The views of Lake Superior will take your breath away even if it rains, and the waves will be a peaceful soundtrack throughout your stay. Expertly decorated and stocked well with board games, books, vinyl records, and lovely kitchen accessories. It's a minimum 10-minute drive from restaurants/shops/trails and feels very tucked away and remote. In fact, the driveway entrance is easy to miss so make sure to slow down as you get close! Wifi is reliable, but the scenery is an easy choice over screens. Many local dining options in Copper Harbor were closed for the season when we visited at the end of October, but this didn't detract from the experience. There's plenty to explore outdoors, and the cabin is a joy on its own! Lynn and Jason are so accommodating and have created a truly magical hideaway in Keweenaw.

If you can grab some time at this cabin, do it and don’t look back! Lynn was a wonderful host and has curated the PERFECT cabin experience directly on Lake Superior. We filled our days with hiking nearby, mountain biking Copper Harbor, exploring Eagle Harbor, and dining out at Fitzgerald’s in Eagle River. I definitely recommend getting groceries in Houghton on your way up to the cabin to prepare while you’re staying at the cabin — grocery and dining out options are limited in the Keweenaw. At the cabin, we spent the bulk of our time on the lovely decks (with fire pit) catching breathtaking sunrises & sunsets, bird watching, freighter watching, and re-connecting with nature’s beauty.

The cabin is absolutely breathtaking and as pretty as the photos. Lynn had thoughtful snacks and beverages waiting for us along with the neatest guidebook. She was so helpful with suggestions on places to eat too! We drove many miles for a couple of days here and made some amazing memories. My kids thought playing checkers and battleship in front of the fireplace were two of their highlights! We had crummy weather but it was STILL beautiful. The cabin is so well taken care of and every detail thought of. We can’t wait to come back and can’t thank you enough for a splendid trip.
