We spent my birthday and the new year with 16 people in the castle! It was a beautiful location with everything you need to calm down! For us a special highlight was the frozen lake and ice bathing and jumping into the saune right after! Stefan and Agnes were super nice hosts and were always reachable. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hägerstads Slott Castle! Accommodations were plenty for the number of people we had (initially 14, but ended up being 10) and the decor was eclectic and whimsical. Wonderful space for entertaining and cooking epic dinners, then resting by the fireside and catching up. Beds were comfortable, though we could do with cozier blankets and fluffier pillows. The indoor and outdoor saunas were lovely, but the jacuzzi didn’t work and thicker towels would have been nice. The grounds were beautiful and we were provided two sleds for the kids to play. There is also a trampoline on the property. The area is wonderful and even with all the snow we had lovely morning/afternoon/evening walks. Would highly recommend a stay here. We do wish we could have seen more of the castle, but the top two floors are still under construction. There is still a bit of sprucing up that can be done on the first two floors as well. The host is very responsive and helpful when needed.

We spent the most amazing christmas days at Stefan and Agnes castle. Incredible castle with cinema and sauna both inside and by the lake. The surroundings are amazing! And Stefan and Agnes are very serviceminded and provided everything We asked for. Thank you for a good experience!

One of the bedrooms has no doors and is situated next to the dining. There are no light switches in the whole house. The water stopped working for half a day, so we had to use buckets from the lake to flush the toilets. The location at the lake is very nice. But the beach is shared with the guest from the lakehouse right next to it. Also the jacuzzi cannot be used.

Agnes and Stefan made this the best stay possible! This is a really beautiful, posh and fairytale like castle with a great exterior for photos and sufficient space inside for a large group of 15+. Great facilities like a cinema room, indoor and outdoor sauna, grand dining hall and music room. Jacuzzi was not functional when we went. There castle is also situated next to a private lake where you can paddleboard and motorboat, stefan was very accessible via call for any requests. The nature reserve nearby was also amazing for a walk and to see some historical sights like the 1000 year old oak tree and viking graves. There is a lot to do in and outside the castle for a few days, i strongly suggest to take a retreat to this once in a lifetime location!!! Thank you again to Agnes and Stefan for hosting us and giving us a lifetime of memories :)
