The location was nice. You can see the ocean from the balcony but just barely. It is a close walk to the beach and easy access. The beach is actually way closer than it looks from the balcony. Really far from the pool but could still walk. Nice to be able to leave beach stuff outside in a nice area outside the door. This is a second floor unit, but has three floors to walk up just in case you have accessibility issues. These condos are right next to the police station and it seemed very safe. Short drive to gift shops, restaurants and grocery stores on Oak Island Drive. The condo really needed a good cleaning and I did have to mop and clean the surfaces and wash the bedspreads. The furniture and layout were nice. The kids bedroom is nice to have bunk beds - full over twin, but the top bunk is really close to the bottom bunk so really just needs to be kids. A little claustrophobic. There was a really loud noise coming from their closet (water heater maybe?) Primary bedroom toilet ran and microwave door was broken but hopefully would be easily fixed. Seemed to have things we needed available. Washer and dryer worked well. Dishwasher worked well. Nice layout and pretty beach decorations. With a nice cleaning and refreshing of bathrooms and fixing minor issues, I would recommend this unit.

I wish I had read previous reviews because I do agree with most of the concerns. Positives were that we were close to beach access, fresh packaged linens and towels ensuring cleanliness, and the space itself was great. Issues included unclean bedding, a broken toilet, a loud a/c unit, distance from the pool (along with a missing pool pass that I’ve yet to know if we will be charged for), and unclean bathrooms. The shower curtain had black mold on it and the cleaning supplies had visible dirty water. One queen bed was very uncomfortable for adults. I contacted the owner concerning our pool pass and never heard back. We are thankful we had a place to stay and would return to the island, but would not recommend this unit.

Upon arrival, the condo was not clean. There was trash under the bunk beds that was clearly visible when entering the room including broken down cardboard boxes, food wrappers, and pieces of plastic wrap. One of the quilts had a visible yellow urine stain and the blanket was too big to put in the very small washing machine, so we had to search for a spare. The floor was sandy and we had to sweep when we first arrived. Our feet were still black with dirt from the floors the first night because they had needed mopped as well. The microwave in the kitchen had food splattered all over the inside and there were used grounds in the coffee maker as well as a significant water line leak in the fridge that needed a bowl placed under it to contain the water drips (which we realized after we cleaned up what we thought was initial spill and then our groceries got soaked). The blinds in the kids bunk room don’t have any curtains or a turner to use to shut them properly, so be sure to have something to cover them if you plan on kids going to bed before dark or taking naps. The second queen room was so hot, regardless of how cold the rest of the condo was. This room also has a terribly uncomfortable bed for adults. I’m assuming it would be okay for kids that weigh less than 100lbs. Please note that the bunk room stays about 5 degrees cooler in the day and about 10 degrees cooler at night and the air conditioner is located in that closet and is quite loud. This room also has some serious safety issues with the bunk beds. The top bunk is missing a support slat so there is a large portion of mattress unsupported. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable with anyone over 50lbs up on it. The lower double bed is also improperly supported and the head of the mattress slips through the supports and leaves it sagging about 6 inches lower than the rest of the mattress. Since our toddler was the only one in this bed, we were able to rig up our own support system to make do while we were here. The whole place is in need of a thorough dusting and if you have allergies, please be aware that there is a ton of dust on the ceiling fans, lamp shades, and vents. There were pieces of furniture and doors that needed significant repairs in the unit as well. The rental company sent a handyman out to repair these things during my kids naptime with no warning so we had to turn him away, so those items are still broken and honestly need to be replaced, not repaired. Also please note that you are pretty good walk away from the pool. I was unaware the distance was so great and with small kids, we didn’t use it much. I also didn’t realize that even though this condo is on the second level, you have to climb two flights to get to it. This condo has so much potential and is a great location for the beach access. The outdoor showers for feet and rinsing off are nice and work very well. The balcony is a nice spot to spend some time outside when it’s rainy. The landing is large enough for all your beach gear and we didn’t have any issues at all with anyone bothering our things. There’s plenty of parking, so we never had to walk very far from the car to our condo. The living room and main bedroom are well appointed and decorated nicely. The kitchen is functional and has all the necessities.

This was our first time to this location and Im glad we booked this condo. Very clean, enough space for all of us, great location and distance to the beach, and everyone was friendly and very helpful. Communication was on point.

This was the perfect place for our joint family vacation. It was super close to the beach and you could see and hear the ocean from the balcony. There were outdoor showers in many places which made it very convenient to rinse off after a day at the beach. The pool was a good size, leaving plenty of room for kids to play and adults to swim. It’s such a beautiful place, very spacious, and close to many shops and restaurants (some within walking distance). We would definitely stay here again!
