With years of hospitality experience I express this professional review on behalf of Opia & her entire staff. Starfish Suite is everything and more! The room is ample and pure vacation comfort. Linens have no offensive smells, are white & spartan clean. Cleaning supplies are fresh with no harsh scents. The room feels very clean after each housekeeper visit. Thanks sweet Moooonchie! Ask, and ye shall receive. Whatever we needed promptly appeared. Water was hot, shower was perfect. Bubble tub was great! The kitchen area was appreciated, especially the large fridge. Kitchen is well supplied. Dressers and closet are more than enough. Various lighting was nice. Air Conditioner worked beautifully and was surprisingly quiet. The grounds are swept daily, beach raked and cleaned. Entire property is clean, safe and well cared for. Yes, the music is loud, but not all the time. The oceanfront & waves make up for the music. We loved the Roots Bamboo Cafe & bands. Thank you!

When we decided to stay at roots bamboo starfish cottage on the beach so many people offered negativity or advice that was not what I experienced staying there recently. I felt completely safe the whole time, the staff was so helpful down to the vendors on the property, the stage set up staff, The maids, everyone! The location is absolutely perfect and Roots is definitely stepping up their game in entertainment!!! The cottage is large, welcoming and over all adorable!!!

This little cottage like massive studio unit was exactly what we wanted. It's literally on the beach and we felt very safe. You will get a lot of locals stopping by to say hi or to sell you things like jewellery or fruits. The unit itself is quite large. Larger than the pictures show and there is a large 46-50" TV instead of the small one shown in the pictures. Some of the furniture is also different but that too is very nice. Anybody who came to visit us were very impressed with the size. It can be quite noisy at times, but we were there during Dream Weekend and that is when Negril has thousands of tourists of which we were two of them. So the noise did not bother us at all. We actually joined in with the crowd. The staff including our favourite chef Ronan(?) and Judith our housekeeper were so friendly and made you feel like family. We would definitely recommend this space. p.s. This unit does not have a stove so I brought my own one burner stove with frying pan and pot. This was all we needed. The kitchen provided me with any dishes and utensils I needed.
