Great trip. A really great trip !

First, this was not our first HaLong Bay cruise. But it was by far the best. From the arrangement of transportation from Hanoi to the greeting at the pier by Loi to the food (!!!), it was an amazing 3 days. Our captain and his assistant Tuan went far out of their way to make the trip as interesting, comfortable and beautiful as possible. They prepared simple but incredible seafood dishes three times a day…grilled oysters, squid, clams steamed in wine (!!!!) and a delicious sea bass we procured from a fish farm floating on the bay. There was plenty of beer and soft drinks on board, and we were fully in control of our itinerary. Start to finish, a professional, warm and overwhelmingly friendly experience. I wouldn’t do another cruise with anyone else. Period.

Our cruise was amazing! We rented the boat for a private cruise of five. There is plenty of room on board for twice that amount. Our itinerary was as shown in the listing. Communication was excellent from booking through drop off at our hotel in Hanoi. All four meals were excellent! They did a great job accommodating allergies for two of us. The cabins and restrooms were clean, and beds comfortable. As you would expect on a boat, the cabins are below deck. We hopped over a few railings at some landings so if you have mobility issues, let them know and they’ll arrange for a smaller boat for you. Obviously the the surroundings are why you go, but the crew on our boat made the trip. Nemo, our guide, was very knowledgeable and proudly shared Vietnamese culture with us. During the excursions he made sure everyone was taken care of, on board he made sure we were settled, and he organized our many bags during transfers. David was our server and out did himself too. He was very friendly and accommodating. While we did not interact with the rest of the crew, their efforts did not go unnoticed! I highly recommend this excursion!!
