Driveway is a goat track. 4wd only especially towing a boat. None of the barbecues were in a usable state. Owner was staying in the house the whole time with friends around watching over. Dishwasher didn’t work and neither did the advertised ice machine. Chest freezers rusted beyond useable state. 3 rolls of toilet paper supplied for 7 people for 5 days. No towels supplied. One of the beds had bedbugs and another had cockroaches. Water dispenser in the house has mould and floaters inside. Downstairs fish filleting table has no water as apparently last guests used too much water so he didn’t allow us to use water. So couldn’t clean fish table or rinse boats. Gas stove was faulty in the kitchen.

House was fine for what we required. It is an older home so needs some repairs to some areas but overall was comfortable.

Alan is very nice and very accommodative, we arrived much later than what we thought, he waited late night to check us in. However the accommodation was not at all appealing to any of us, not cleaned, no clean towels, garbage wasn’t cleared, too many things in the house, lots of repairs to be made, roof has holes, bathroom and bedroom doors don’t lock, the bedroom balconies lacked any safety barriers. Not recommended for a family or with kids. The place maybe great if you are travelling for fishing, not otherwise. We were not happy with an exorbitant amount being charged as cleaning fee and then presented to us with a dusty shabby shack!
