This cabin is a cozy & private place nestled in the woods! There were some nice touches like robes, slippers, a bbq, and a fireplace as it can get pretty cold at night. It’s a great spot, close to the skywalk, lake and lots of viewpoints. While we were given a caveat by the host that this stay is not your average airbnb (as it’s solar powered, and has a finite water source), upon arrival we found out that there was only ice cold water for showers and the sink. The host did their best to try to fix the issue immediately however, we feel this should’ve been checked prior to our arrival. This required a plumber that wasn’t able to work on the weekend so it couldn’t be fixed. We also found that the cabin has very dim lighting (and one of the headlamps had dead batteries) and were missing coffee grounds initially, before the host brought some to us after we requested. While we still enjoyed our stay, we feel if we had known this information we would’ve been able better prepare.

A very lovely place for a weekend getaway for two! Barbara was extremely communicative, ensuring upon booking that we understood what we were signing up for. We lucked out with enough sun to keep things running easily throughout our stay. A burn ban, unfortunately, meant no fire inside or out, but Barbara supplied some extra outdoor gear to support us having the best time possible. Road noise is audible from the cabin, which I had not anticipated, but it was easy enough to let it become background while enjoying the serenity of the pond and the sun dancing through the trees.

Such a peaceful place to stay and a romantic getaway for two, we spent our wedding anniversary here and loved it ! The ambiance is worth it 💕 Barbara is so helpful and accommodating -
